Kit Lund Christopherson

I live with my wife, our three boy children on Whidbey Island in Washington State. Born in the Pacific Northwest, I moved to the island with my wife at the age of 23 to begin a career teaching art at the secondary level. 15 years later I am entering into production, sale and shows. I hold a high standard of quality craft with the intent of appealing to art investors. At the innovative level I am exploring the play of physical light within 1/2” thick layered paintings utilizing both traditional skills and shaped resins. Intellectually I enjoy exploring human expansionism and nature alternately.

Other more established and subdivided corners of the united states do not offer the same opportunities for the common man and women to be a collector. The Pacific North West is a fertile landscape for creative opportunity and I am excited to be here inventing art in these dramatic surroundings. Many of my students continue to write the next chapter of west coast art and, to a degree, I hope to as well.
